A real gem
Recently I was tasked with creating a logo for a client who sells Paparazzi Jewelry. I illustrated the flamingos based on a sketch I was given and created a new type treatment that would allow the client to stand out from other sellers of the product. I also created a business card, social media images such as a Facebook cover as well as patterns that could be used in various applications.

Vintage look
This is a piece from my day job. I was tasked with creating a header for a special section that was a salute to a local community celebrating its sesquicentennial.

It’s hard to keep up!
This site doesn’t get a lot of traffic so I don’t feel compelled to update often but it’s nice to keep this thing somewhat up-to-date for anyone who does visit and it’s nice to have a record for myself to look back on. That gets hard to do when you’re busy with paid work and “promotion” and other things get put on the back burner.
Lately I’ve had one of my biggest jobs so far. A series of eight drawings for a line of sausages. The brief was to do 8 pigs in different poses that would be featured on the labels for the different flavors of sausage. These were to be based on their logo which was designed by another artist with a completely different style. I normally love working in different styles and mediums but this one was a real challenge for many reasons. But as the project went on and the client was more and more happy with the results I was able to gain confidence and produce some pieces I was really proud of that blended the previous style with my preference for stuff that’s a little more bold and dynamic, less flat.
In the end the client was ecstatic and even paid me to do two extra pieces based on my ideas for additional poses (including the pig with the apple below). I can’t wait to see the finished product.
